St. Catharines (February 27, 2008 ) Canada's only national non-diagnostic specific mental health consumer/driven organization which is national in scope and service from coast to coast to coast in Canada applauds the Federal Government for their support to the Mental Health Commission of Canada to serve those living at the margins of society.

In the Federal Budget 2008 appropriately themed "Advantage Canada", those living with mental illness, addictions and homelessness issues will be supported through a number of demonstration projects spearheaded by the Mental Health Commission of Canada.

"The moneys tied to this announcement will go a long way to helping those living with mental illnesses, addiction and homelessness in Canada. We applaud the Federal Government of Canada for taking the leadership on these issues and support the Mental Health Commission of Canada in their management of initiatives to support the issues of the most marginalized of people living in Canada." ...
